It is said that Shaolin is the cradle of all martial arts.

The venerable Shaolin Temple of China is a repository of martial arts, with a tulmultous history that spans a millennium and a half. Countless fighting arts attribute Shaolin Kung Fu as the root of their styles.

Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu decends directing from the teachings of the Central Guoshu Institute. In 1928, the Central Guoshu Institute was established in Nanjing for the propagation of Chinese martial arts.

It was a difficult time for China. Foreign powers were colonizing the port provinces and the Shaolin Temple had suffered at the hands of bloody feuding warlords. The martial arts were a matter of national pride. The term 'guoshu' means 'national art' and was used to honor China's proud martial tradition. The Central Guoshu Institute was a pioneering and pivotal institution that shaped modern martial arts as we know it today. Now you can inhertit this legacy through this unprecedented video series.

Shaolin Long Fist is a diverse style consisting of the best techniques of the Shaolin arts combined in a spirit of cooperation by the leading masters of the early nineteenth century.
