TAIJI BALL QIGONG
(Health and Martial Arts)Make a Reservation YMAA Boston, Boston, MA / February 23rd-24th 2008
In China, Taiji balls have commonly been used in both external and internal martial arts training. The original name of this training is “Yin Yang Taiji Ball Qigong Training”,(Yin Yang Taiji Qiu Qigong). Though the training methods vary from one style to another, the main purposes remain the same. These purposes are: 1. To strengthen the physical torso, especially the spine. 2. To condition muscles required for combat. 3. Learn to use the mind to lead the Qi to the physical body for power manifestation.
SEMINAR/WORKSHOP PROGRAM
In Taijiquan, Taiji Ball training used to be one of the major methods of training. However, due to its secrecy, few people know about it. The health benefits of practicing Taiji Ball are significant, due to its emphasis on the conditioning of the torso, prevention of injury, and rejuvenation of the spine. The training is done with soft movements, that not only condition the physical body, but also train the coordination and harmonization of the mind and Qi.WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
