Taiji Ball Qigong 3: 16 Circling, Rotating & Wrap-Coiling Patterns
Taiji Ball training is common practice in both external and internal martial arts in China. It can strengthen the torso, condition the muscles, enhance Pushing Hands ability and increase physical power by using the mind to lead the Qi. In Taijiquan, Taiji Ball training used to be a major training tool. However, due to its secrecy, fewer and fewer people learned it. Today the art of Taiji Ball training is almost unknown.
This program builds on the foundation of Taiji Ball Circling and Rotating with 16 fundamental patterns of Taiji Ball Wrap-Coiling.
- Forward and Backward Vertical Wrap Coiling
- Clockwise and Counterclockwise Wrap Coiling
- Techniques are demonstrated Stationary, Moving, Walking and in a Bagua Circle
With an emphasis on Internal, External, and the Unification of Internal and External exercises.
Benefits of Taiji Ball training include:
- Strengthen the spine and torso and stimulate the immune system
- Enhance Pushing Hands capability
- Develop a deeper sense of Qi (energy) circulation
