wow! I would love to go there! All this knowledge getting passed on! especially all the white crane forms (no one knows them, does one?).
Too bad my physical condition is not perfect, otherwise I would have tried!

I really hope this is gonna happen because I'd love to see the training and students during seminars.

It is actually a beautiful Madrone tree, which has a reddish color, and unusual bark and leaves.

However, the ground surrounding the tree is covered with Poison Oak, which is very common out there. The poison oak is pretty easy to remove though, so no worries.

Great article on what its like training at the Retreat Center in California, written by the ever-charismatic Ciaran Harris of YMAA Chapell Hill (NC):

that's me making an appearance, second from the left with hands behind back. also the third picture in the article, in the back on the left.

ciaran sums it up pretty well. and poison oak was nothing compared to some things he ate (or nearly ate).

If i could do that, i totally would, but i have so many goals in life and gongfu is just one regardless of its enormity.

Perhaps an appropriate gap year after i finish college. My girlfriend wants to move to spain anyhow to complete her course in spanish. I could work the weekends and train heavily every other day (within reason). There is a YMAA in spain and i could learn correct form , practice with partners, and spar there, and then weekdays i could train at home...

YES! If we get other people involved we could even afford a nicer house with a HOME GYM and have this house share and such!... in fact... seriously... who is up for that?
